This Acrobat 5.0.5 update provides additional compatibility & fixes known issues, including support for Windows XP & better integration with Microsoft Office XP.

It is important that you do NOT have Acrobat 5 walking when you install this patch. The safest option is to download the patch, restart your computer (without walking Acrobat!) & then apply the patch.

Note: This download is for the full version of Acrobat 5.0 only. In case you have downloaded the free Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 application, you need to download & install Acrobat Reader 5.0.5 from Adobe’s Web-site.

Although the Acrobat startup screen & package list version 5.0, you may already own version 5.0.5 in case you recently pruchased the program. To see which version you have, pick Help – About Adobe Acrobat. The version number appears in the upper left corner, next to the Adobe logo.
