Another Facebook photo notification that carries malware is roaming

A new Facebook-themed email spam strategy is focusing on the user from the social network, trying to trick them into downloading the file from the attachment:
“The attached ZIP file has the name New-Photo-with-You_on_Facebook_PHOTOID13O8WHZL.zip and contains the 77 kB large file New_Photo_with_You_on_Facebook.gif.exe,” according to MX Lab researchers.
The computer file is currently recognized as harmful by 20 of the 43 Antivirus software used by VirusTotal, although they can’t seem to agree on the type of trojan the file actually is. Still, if there’s one thing you can be sure of that is the fact that the computer file has definitely bad intentions.
Users are recommended to always be cautions when watching announcements apparently arriving from social networking sites. In this case, the spoofed “Facebook” email.
