Engineers from Good Tehnology have released a brand new secure mobile browser for Android, Good Mobile Access for Android.

GMA (Good Mobile Access for Android) represents a feature from the Good for Enterprise solution that delievers secure mobile browsing for the apps or other resources behind a firewall and it does not need a VPN connection. With the aid of Good Mobile Access for Android, businesses can obtain a higher employee productivity. This is achieved by offering access to critical Intranet resources through a mobile browser that is more secure and it also prevents data loss.

“Consumer use of Android devices has really taken off, and we are seeing increased enterprise adoption, especially among our customers who support formal BYOD programs,” said John Herrema, senior vice president of corporate strategy at Good Technology. “Supporting BYOD means supporting Android devices, and we want to make sure our customers can confidently embrace this trend, increase employee productivity, and not have to compromise on security or compliance.”

GMA (Good Mobile Access for Android) is very good integrated with Good for Enterprise. Good for Enterprise represents a mobile data management that offers great mobile access and information protection thanks to the AES-encryption standard.

Employees can safely access the company databases and other resources like SharePoint for example, with a secure browser from their Android gadgets. To give an example, if a user gets and email that holds a link to the Intranet of the corporation, the Good Mobile Access for Android automatically launches and eneables secure vizualization or download of the data.

This app prevents hijacking apps from unauthorized access of the company environment and does not expose the company infrastructure and applications to phishing, DDOS attacks or other kind of attacks.

In order to deliever higher security and prevent data corruption, Good Mobile Access for Android (GMA) encrypts the cache of the browser, bookmarks, cookies and history. Only the IT admin can control when and if these documents can be opened or copied.

Good Mobile Access for Android can be accessed by all Good for Enterprise users that have the version 1.9.0 or higher installed. In order to get GMA (Good Mobile Access for Android), users have to download the latest release of Good for Enterprise app, and then a standard Web-kit, fromĀ Google Play.
