This patch for Myst III Exile update to 1.22. Update 1.1 was released a few days after the game on shelves May 2001. The update includes the fixes from 1.22, during which the problems with video cards.
Major bugfixes
An error in M3.exe prevents the game running on many PC graphics chipsets. The game can be in software mode of Intel 740, running 810, and 815 chipsets, graphics cards Neomagic and SiS graphics cards as well as some others. Note that due to limitations of these cards you can not the game in Direct3D hardware mode. Hold down CTRL or CMD to start the game, then select the software rendering mode.
Fixed a bug that caused the game not recognize the CD-ROM with the call letters “H”.
Fixed bug hanging game from time to time, when the user jumps out of the credits by pressing the space bar caused.
Minor changes
Subtitles added sound effect in some areas J’nanin.
Added “invert mouse axis” option. Press Command-I on a Macintosh and press Ctrl-I on a PC with the investment of a mouse.
Fixed some minor graphical errors.

clarified by the lift lever Voltaic Steam may not be used to try the elevator when it into the ground or if the elevator is on the top floor to move.
Change location for the first time in Catalina Tomahna not talking to you when looking at the ceiling or floor. .
