The Serious Sam 2 patch fixes some bugs in the game since its release available in stores.
Added dedicated server support (see DedicatedServer.txt in the patch).
Vertical slider next to some lists (eg server list) now reacts to mouse clicks and movement.
Server list can now be used correctly with the mouse.
Fixed scrolling of some lists (levels, profiles).
Swapped function of arrow keys in some menus.
Options boxes (yes / no and similar) now cycle options – selecting the last option and go to the ‘next’, we go back to the first option and vice versa.
Netricsa icon does not appear if subtitles are disabled.
Playing with high ping time (> 500ms) caused strange things for clients (dying immediately after the return pass, not in a position to turn off cheats …).
Difficulty was not properly restored when loading a saved game.
Game menu screen shows the details now, the server version. It will be displayed in red when the server version not with the customer.
Version number in the main menu is now visible.
Added a beep when a new line appears in the chat console.
Added support for resolutions with strange aspect ratio (namely, 1280×1024).
In cooperative games, it gives information for all players (name, health, armor) on the right side of the screen.
Added an option to profile settings (“always pick up terms”) to disable picking items shown when it is not needed (eg ammo if already at max ammo).
Servers can now be protected by the password cvar “net_strConnectPassword.
To join a server password, the password mechanism, the client string for cvar “set net_strConnectPassword.
Added “samListPlayers () ‘console command to all players in format player index list: Player name.
Bloom effect now works properly in HDR mode on ATI X1000 series (no more pixelization).
There was a compatibility mode for DirectSound mixing control (“software emulation” in “audio options” menu).
There was a problem with audio playback and mouse input on multi-(core-) CPU systems.
Fixed false detection on the performance of Intel integrated graphics chips.
Faulty Profiler times in dual-core processors.
If you use FSAA HDR gfxRestart (switch) “CFunc is now required.
Weapon can not be changed while recoiling doors.
